Call for Special Session Proposals


IWAIT2013 technical program will include some special sessions. Their purpose is to share in some highlight topics of emerging or attractive interest with IWAIT2013 attendees. The chair for special sessions calls for the proposals the topic of which include, but not limited to, the followings:
- Image/video processing
- Image / video coding
- 3DTV / FTV (Free-viewpoint Television)
- Pattern recognition
- Computer graphics
- Computer vision
- Image / video quality assessment
- Broadcasting/communication
- ITS (Intelligent Transportation Systems)
- Multimedia applications / systems
- Virtual reality
- Animation
- Data hiding
- KANSEI

Prospective organizers of special sessions should submit proposals indicating:
- Title of the session
- Explanation of the significance of the topic
- Tentative titles of at least 3 invited papers, along with a list of authors who have agreed to present these papers
- Biography of the session organizers and their contact information

Each special session will consist of about 5 papers, including some invited papers and contribution papers related to the topic. The organizers' role is to attract the speakers and chair the session. However, if you need some help to do the roles, feel easy to contact the special session chair or special session co-chairs. They are pleased to contribute to you.

After the notification of acceptance, abstracts and camera ready papers for special sessions should be submitted as well as contribution papers by the same deadline, 7th September, and 19th November, 2012.

SPECIAL SESSION PROPOSALS SUBMISSION
Interested contributors should send the proposal form to the Special Session Chair of IWAIT2013 [Prof. Masao Kasuga, skkasuga“at”sakushin-u.ac.jp, change “at” to @]. The proposal should be sent with the following subject line: “[IWAIT2013] Special Session Proposal (name of proposal)”
