Submission Guidelines


General information
Prospective authors are invited to submit an abstract of no more than one page of A4 size paper in English. If the abstract get accepted, the authors are encouraged to submit original full papers of up to six pages including figures and tables in English.

Abstracts (one page) and full papers(six pages) will be published in digest proceedings and USB memories respectively. The authors can revise the "one-page abstracts" submitted for the reviews when they will submit the "six-page papers".

All documents are to be submitted electronically in PDF format. Authors themselves are responsible for converting their files into PDF; they must not request the conversion to the program committee.

Submission deadline
Please submit your final manuscript (one page and six page) by 19th November 25th November 2012(JST).

Please check the formats for one-page abstract and six-page paper carefully.
Especially, the format of one-page abstract is completely different to that of previous IWAIT workshops. (Figures and/or tables should be included into the one-page abstract.)

 (A) Submission of one-page abstract for digest proceedings
Please submit your one-page abstract from the following page using same ID and PW when you submitted your abstract for our review process.
If you do not resubmit your one-page abstract this time, we will use the previously submitted version for printing the digest proceedings.

Format of "one-page abstract" and "six-page paper"
The authors are advised to download the IEEE Template files in MS Word A4 or Latex format to prepare the document. Please go to the following link to download IEEE Template files.

Please consider the following points when preparing your document.

  • Documents should be formatted for standard A4-size (210mm x 297mm).
  • Two-column format.
  • Do not number the page of your document.
  • Do not use header or footer.
  • Fonts: use only Times or Times New Roman. The normal text of the document must be in 10-point.
  • Title: The title should be in 24-point, normal type. Capitalize the first letter of nouns, pronouns, verbs, adjectives, and adverbs; do not capitalize articles, coordinate conjunctions, or prepositions (unless the title begins with such a word). The title should not be all in capital letters.
  • Author name: The names of the authors are to be centered beneath the title and printed in 11-point, normal type. Author's name should not be preceded nor followed by author's titles and society memberships.
  • Author Affiliation: The authors' affiliations are to be centered beneath the author's names and printed in 10-point, normal type. Affiliation should include: department/division, university/company, postal address, phone (optional), fax (optional), email (optional), and URL (optional). In the case of authors from different institutions, identify each institution with a number (starting from 1). At the end of the name of each author place the institution identifier as a superscript. List the institutions on separate lines with the format described above. Each institution should be preceded by the corresponding identifier as a superscript.
  • Abstract: Abstract is not necessary for "one-page abstract" but should be given in the upper left corner of text region in "six-page paper" as the template.
  • Keywords: A maximum of 5 keywords should be given in the upper left corner of text region in "one-page abstract" and below the abstract in "six-page paper".
  • Figure: Figures are centered in the column, large figures can be placed over two columns. The figure caption font size is 8-point. Authors can include color figures in "six-page paper" but not include color figures in "one-page abstract". The proceedings of "one-page abstract" will be printed in black and white.
  • Table: Tables are centered in the column, large tables can be placed over two columns. The table caption font size is 8-point as for figures.
  • PDF requirement: Please embed all local fonts into the PDF camera ready document.

The "one-page abstract" will be reviewed for technical merit and content. The accepted abstract will appear in the workshop proceedings only if one of the authors is registered for and attending the workshop and is presenting the work.
